On Thursday in the Par competition Sandra Kirk managed to stay square with the card to win from Kerry Schnack on -1. Joan Wright won the rundown, while Di Rowley won the approach on 6 & 15.

On Thursday in the Par competition Sandra Kirk managed to stay square with the card to win from Kerry Schnack on -1.  Joan Wright won the rundown, while Di Rowley won the approach on 6 & 15.

This Thursday the ladies will play for the first Thursday Monthly Medal.

Men

Clinton & Fiona Dowling from Isis Tyre Service sponsored the two person Ambrose on Saturday, which saw a good field compete for the varied trophies.  Jack Cole & Royce Blair with 60.25 nett convincingly won ahead of the sponsors 63.5.

Kev Savage & Lisa Cooney on 64.5 were third, with fourth place going to Craig Reynolds & Rae McCliskie on 64.75.  Rundowns went to Dean Page & Damien Dowling, Steve Cole & John Cole, Ivan Philpott & Roger Draper and Norm Plath & Peter Hutton.

Laurie Dakin won the A Division pinshot on 1 & 10, and Jack Cole & Norm Plath the B Division approaches.  On 4 & 13 Peter Hrelja put his drive .32 metres from the pin to win both the A Division pinshot and the Golden Circle.  Mick Hickey also collected a pinshot.  Ben van Der Valk won the B Division pinshot on 4 & 13.

Joan Wright and Cynthia Draper won the ladies' approaches on 6 & 15.

Members greatly appreciated the trophies and the savouries presented after the game.

Vets

On Tuesday members played for the monthly VIP stroke event sponsored by Len Stallard, sadly unable to stay for the game.  Again, some excellent scores were recorded.  In Men's A Division Norm Plath recorded a 66 nett to just pip Nigel Radin on 67.  Craig Reynolds was third on 69 nett, beating Kev Denham on a countback.

In B Division Larry Pershouse also scored 66 nett to win from Ken Albion on 68, with Harry Zawacki third on 70 on a countback from Darryl Johnstone.

Val Plath recorded 71 nett to win the Ladies' Division, with Joy Cartner second on 73, Vicki McAulay third on 76 and Rae McCliskie next on 79.

On 1 & 10 the A Division Approach was won by Col Dennett, the B Division by Larry Pershouse.  On 4 & 13, Ray Walker won the A Division pinshot, Ken Albion the B Division approach and Coralie Volgyesi took the ladies' approach on 6 & 15.

Chook Run winners were Kev Denham on 28, Norm Plath on 29, Kieth Rule and Larry Pershouse both with 30 nett.
