Last Saturday the Commonwealth Bank sponsored a 2 person Ambrose and the results are in the Men's notes.  An enjoyable afternoon's golf followed by a tasty after game snack.

Mens

The Childers Branch of the Commonwealth Bank was the kind sponsor last Saturday as members and visitors played a 2 person Ambrose.  The club would like to recognise the support from the sponsor as well as the fine array of food that was provided after the game.

Tracey Bartlett, Jacinta Russo, Stephen Cole and Phil Kennedy were welcomed back to enjoy the Isis golf links.

The winners for the day were Phil Kennedy and Mitch Anderson closely followed by Rod Wagner and Geoff Jarrett.  Rundowns went to Stephen Cole and Blake Dowling, S White and P Hutton, P Russo and J Russo, H Ricciardi and T Bartlett, R Walker and I Philpott and C Dowling and F Dowling.

Pin shots were won by John Mills, Tracey Bartlett and Blake Dowling.  This Saturday is October Monthly Medal day.  This is your second last chance to win a medal for 2013 and be able to play in the Medal of Medals final in November.

Members please remember to arrive early as President Rodney has called a SPECIAL meeting before golf commences.  The meeting will start at 11.45am.  As members of the Isis Golf Club your input is sought and appreciated at this time.

Social Golf Club

Last Sunday, we played the 'reverse Mulligan' stroke and putt over the front nine, but many scores indicate that markers were very kind in applying the repeat a good shot rule.

Rhonda Zahn recorded the remarkable score of 24 nett to claim first prize from Hoss Eberl on 27 with Bill Kirchhof third on 28 nett.  How are these scores possible?

Rhonda was also nearest the pin on 4 & 13, and Hoss won the B Grade approach on 1 & 10.  Margaret Dennett was nearest the pin on 6 & 15.  Longest drives went to Bill Long (A Grade) and Paul McCarragher (B Grade).

Players were very appreciative of the pre and post game victuals so well prepared and presented by Chris and Ros, and we graciously thank our sponsors for the day, especially the Brekkie Club.

This Sunday morning it's Monthly Mug time again so see you there for a 7:30am hit off.  Check for the away trip to Bundaberg on the following Sunday and in particular put your name down for our Christmas trip to Hervey Bay.
