This Thusday is the final of the Monthly Goblet winners.  Good luck to all.  Others present will be competing in a single stroke event.  Remember the 8.30am hit off time.

The Saturday Monthly Goblet winners played off for the honour of being this year's champion, following Friday night's presentation and calcutta for each of the four competitors.  Cynthia Draper, Helen Ricciardi, Sophie Martell and Joan Wright.

Helen Ricciardi proved too strong on the day recording 72 nett to win from Cynthia Draper on 76, to become this year's Monthly Medal Final winner.  Cynthia won the approach on 4 & 13.

Vicki McAulay with 74 nett was the best in the overflow, with Jennifer McKay scoring a rundown.

Last week the golf notes did not include a report of the Ladies' Saturday Par competition, which Robyn Robinson won with plus 1 from Coralie Volgyesi who finished even with the card.  Helen Ricciardi won the approach.

Remember the AGM next Saturday at 11am. All members are urged to attend this important meeting, in particular to elect the incoming Management Committee.  After the AGM we join the men in playing the traditional Tiger Stableford.

Men

The play off for the honour of being the Medal of Medallist's winner for 2015 proved to be a walk in the park for Clinton Dowling, current men's open champion.  Clinton's 68 gross gave him a 65 nett. Runner up was Phil Luckett with 70 on a countback from Brett Martell.

In the accompanying overflow competition Leigh Cronin recorded an impressive 64 nett, with Kev Savage runner up on 70.  Rundowns went to Peter Steel, Peter Hrelja, Norm Plath and Ken Albion.

Mark McAulay won the B Division approach on 1 & 10, with no A Division player landing on the green. Kev Savage won the A Division pinshot on 4 & 13, with no B Division player finding the green.

The presentation evening proved a great success, with a strong attendance, including the juniors and their families. All present enoyed the delicious variety of food for supper, applauded all the award winners, appreciated the humour of Rod Wagner's introduction for each medal and goblet winner and were often surprised and delighted by auctioneer Bill Trevor's varying means of extracting money.

Thanks to all involved in any of the above activities, particularly to the ladies who organised and presented the supper, and to our busy bartenders.

This Saturday we hold our AGM at 11am sharp, and all members are urged to attend this important meting of the year, in particular the election of the incoming Committee.
