Women

The Thursday competition was again washed out, but next week ladies will play for the April Monthly Medal, with a visit from golf professional Mick Murnane to discuss a programme for promoting womens' golf at our club.

On Saturday members competed for the April Saturday Monthly Medal, with Vicki McAulay winning on 76 nett.  Rundowns went to Joan Wright and Helen Ricciardi on 77. Vicki also took the approach on 6 & 15. All members enjoyed the tasty delicacies which they provided and June kindly prepared.

Next Saturday members are invited to join a team and play in the three person Ambrose on Isis Mill Traders' Day.  Shotgun start at 11:30am sharp.

Men

Another week when rain interrupted golf days during the week, but happily a Friday clean up meant the course was playable for the April Monthly Medal on Saturday.

Bundaberg visitors Mark Higham and Lionel Bust showed how to play the course recording 67 and 69 nett respectively.  Unfortunately as both gents were not eligible to win a medal, the A Division competition went to Chris Crouch on 70 nett, winning from Kev Savage on 72, second on a countback from Clinton Dowling. Rundowns went to Clinton & Ray Walker.

B Division scores by comparison were mediocre with Ben Van Der Valk winning with 75 nett, on a countback from Harry Zawacki. Rundowns went to Roger Draper and Ken Albion on 76.  Clinton Dowling won the A Division pinshot on 1 & 10 and Phil Pearce the B Division approach.  Chris Crouch won the A Division pinshot on 4 & 13, and Harry Zawacki took out the B Division pinshot on the same hole.

Members provided a variety of tasy delicacies for June to prepare and present for our enjoyment.  Thank you members and June.

Next week, the always popular Isis Mill Traders Day involves members and visitors in a three person Ambrose event.  Names must be in prior to the day. See you there for the 11:30am sharp hit off.
