Merryn Henke claimed her inaugural victory on Thursday, recording 75 nett to win the single stroke competition from Margaret Dennett on 76. Rundowns went to Kerry Schnack and Vicki Wyeth, with Kerry also claiming the approach.
Next Thursday ladies will play for the Monthly Medal.
Cecily Fay recorded 74 nett to win the single stroke competition sponsored by Isis Tyres, with Lisa Cooney runner-up on 76.
Rundowns went to Rae McCliskie and Joan Kelly. Cecily also won the ladies’ approach on 6&15.
Members much appreciated the sponsors’ generosity. Next Saturday we play for the Monthly Medal – see you there with a plate for after the game.
Men
The Isis Tyres Dowling family sponsored the single stroke competition on Saturday. Some excellent scores were recorded, none better than Bill Cowan and Damien Dowling on 66 nett, with Bill winning A Division on a countback. Rundowns went to Nigel Radin and Kieth Rule on 68.
The scores in B Division were not as impressive, with visitor Rick Jennings with a solid 70 nett winning on a countback from Norm Plath.
On 1&10. Damien (12.5m) won the A Division pinshot, while Phil Pearce (1.41m) won the B Division approach. Kieth Rule (6.01m) won the A Division pinshot on 4&13, while Len Stallard (2.34m) won the B Division pinshot. Len also claimed the ‘most travelled’ prize.
Members expressed their appreciation for the generous prizes and hospitality offered by Clinton, Fiona and Damien Dowling.

Vets
Members played a rain-interrupted single stableford competition with Mark McAulay returning to record 40 points, winning A Division from Nigel Radin on 37, with Bill Herring third on 35 in a countback from Craig Reynolds.
Norm Plath won B division with 35 points from Rusty Usmar on 31, with Joan Wright also with 31 points on a countback.
Mark McAulay also enjoyed success on the greens winning the Men’s Approach on 1&10 (0.59m) and the Combined
Approach on 4&13 (in the hole). Lisa Cooney (0.167m) won the Ladies approach on 6&15.
Norm Plath led the Chook Run winners with 31 nett followed by Mark McAulay (32), Nigel Radin, Vicki McAulay and Bob Cochrane (34) on spins.
Next week we play a 4BBB Stableford Aggregate. Hit off at 12 noon.
