Golf Notes 03 February 2015

Val Plath scored 38 Stableford points to easily win the competition on Saturday from Robyn Robinson on 34 points. Coralie Volgyesi won the best nine holes with 18 points and Helen Ricciardi won the approach on 4 & 13.

Women

Val Plath scored 38 Stableford points to easily win the competition on Saturday from Robyn Robinson on 34 points.  Coralie Volgyesi won the best nine holes with 18 points and Helen Ricciardi won the approach on 4 & 13.

On Thursday members played a best nine holes stroke competition which was won by Vicki Wyeth with 38.5 nett.  This Thursday members play a single stableford best nine holes, while the following Thursday, February 12, members play for their first Monthly Goblet.

Thursday hit-off time for February is 8:00am. 

This Saturday we play for our first Saturday Monthly Goblet. Please remember to bring a plate for after the game.

Men

Hayden Wagner was a welcome visitor joining members for the single stableford competition on Saturday.  John Hinton scored 39 points to win from Lazlo Volgyesi on 37, with rundowns to Gary Carlon on 36, Ken Albion, Roger Draper, Dave Robinson and Clinton Dowling all on 35 points. Nigel Radin won the best nine holes with 20 points. +

Brendan Rockett won the pinshot on 1 & 10 and Dave Robinson on 4 & 13.  Bob Champney won the B Division approach on 1 & 10.

This Saturday we play for our first Monthly Medal of the year and it will as usual be highly competitive - please bring a plate for after the game.

Vets

A healthy number arrived for the single stableford competition on a cloudy but cooler afternoon much enjoyed by all players.   Niel Rieck scored 41 points to be the overall winner. Larry Pershouse won A Division with 38 points from runner-up Dave Robinson on 37, with Kev Savage 2nd runner up on 36. Paul McCarragher won the best nine holes.

Roger Draper took out B Division with 37 points from Ray Burrowes on 36 and Len Stallard on 35.  Bob Champney won the best nine holes.

Approaches for the men were won by Dave Robinson and Nigel Radin, while Cynthia Draper and Vicki Wyeth won the approaches for women.

Chook run winners were Niel Rieck on 28, Jack Smith on 30, Rae McLiskie with 31, Kev Savage 32, Michael Stanton & Ray Burrowes both on 33.
