Men

Over 40 members and visitors arrived to play in the single stableford sponsored by Clinton & Fiona  Dowling's Isis Tyres - a great response to our generous sponsors and fellow members.

It was a day of high scoring with Peter Russo leading the way in the single field instead of the usual 2 divisions.  He scored a creditable 43 points to win from Garry Carlon on 41, runner up on a countback from playing partner Frank Rockett.  Rundowns went to Jack Smith, Roger Draper, John Hinton all on 40, Ray Walker on 39, Phil Luckett & Chris Fitzsimmons both on 38 and Peter Steel on 37.

Peter also was the A Division player nearest the pin on 4 & 13, Chris Fitzsimmons the B Division player on the same hole, also claiming the B Division approach on 1 & 10, while Dave Robinson won the A Division pinshot on 1 & 10.

Clinton presented the very generous prizes to the winners, provided some wholesome, nutritious and bountiful after game snacks, also donating the raffle prizes to the club.  This was very much appreciated by the members.

Next Saturday we play for the March Monthly Medal and look forward to another afternoon of competitive scoring.  See you there for the 12:30pm hit off.  Remember to bring a plate for after the game.
