Women

Vicki Wyeth scored 35 points to win the Thursday single stableford competition from Kerry Schnack on 33 points.  Helen Ricciardi won the approach. Next Thursday is the final Monthly Goblet of the year.

On Saturday men and women played in the same event so the results are in the mens' notes for today.  Well played Coralie, Lisa and Joan.

This Saturday we play for the November Monthly Goblet, our last for the year and a last chance to be in the Medal of Medallists final. See you there and please remember to bring a plate.

Men

The Saturday fourball best ball competition attracted a sizeable field with some untried combination of partners, male and female.

Larry Pershouse and Coralie Volgyesi combined well to record 44 points, winning the competition on a countback from Lisa Cooney and Joan Wright, second on a countback from Clinton Dowling and Curtis Fredriksen.

Rundowns went to Kev Savage and Len Stallard, Rodney Wagner & Peter Russo, Ray Walker and Peter Hutton, and Blake Dowling and Christian Fredriksen.

Bill Herring won the B Division approach on 1 & 10, Clinton Dowling the A Division pinshot on 4 & 13 and Roger Draper the B Division pinshot.

During the week Ken Albion and Larry Pershouse played the final of the Seb's Matchplay competition with Ken winning 2 and 1 in a close contest.  This year Sue Royan is presenting Seb/Allan trophy in honour of 2 wonderful life members, Seb Mammino and son-in-law (Sue's husband) Allan Royan and we thank her for the continuing support of her family.

Next week is the final Monthly Medal for 2015, so our last chance to qualify for the Medal of Medallists playoff.

Also it might be our last chance to bring a plate please.

Vets

Melbourne Cup Day attracted a fine field of fillies and colts for the second round of the Stroke versus Par competition, the second round of the Cooper Cup.

With a break to watch the running of the Cup, the players still managed to finish the game early.  In A Division Niel Rieck recorded plus 3 to win on a countback from Michael Stanton, with Helen Ricciardi third on plus 2 from Phil Luckett on a countback.

Robert Werne with a surprising plus 7 won B Division from Sue Long on plus 6, another suprising score.  Lisa Cooney third on plus 1 from Paul McCarragher on a countback.

Ray Walker won the approach for the men, Lisa Cooney (in the hole) won the combined approach, and Sue Long the approach for the ladies.

Bob Werne led the Chook Run winners with nett 29, from Sue Long on 30, Phil Luckett on 31, Joy Cartner and Lisa Cooney both on 32.

Next week we play a single stableford after the strain of the stroke versus par event!
