Joan Wright won the Thursday single stableford competition from Joy Cartner. This Thursday members contest the March Monthly Goblet with hit off time back to 8:30am.

Joan Wright won the Thursday single stableford competition from Joy Cartner.  This Thursday members contest the March Monthly Goblet with hit off time back to 8:30am.

On Saturday Helen Ricciardi won the Monthly Goblet with 72 nett on a countback from Joy Cartner, with rundowns going to Robyn Robinson, Sophie Martell and Joan Wright (On a countback from Fiona Dowling). Joy also won the approach on 4 & 13.

Next Saturday we play a single stableford sponsored by the club.

Men

The March Monthly Medals proved very competitive with some excellent scores.  In A Division Luke Mittelheuser recorded a nett 66 to pip father Neale by one shot, with rundowns to Phil Luckett on 68, Damien Dowling with 69 and father Clinton on 72.

In B Division Will Martell scored a remarkable 64 nett to win from Ivan Philpott on 69, with rundowns going to Frank Rockett (70), Larry Pershouse (71) and Len Stallard (72).

Des Wicks took out the A Division pinshot on 1 & 10 and Clinton Dowling on 4 & 13, while WIll won the B Division approach on 1 & 10 and the pinshot on 4 & 13 to round off his great day on the course.

This Saturday the club sponsors a single stableford competition with hit off at the usual time of 12:30pm.

Vets

Brierley Wines donated 2 bottles of wine which were gratefully accepted by today's winners of the fourball best ball stableford competition - Joy Cartner & Kieth Rule with 48 points, winning on a countback from Rusty Usmar and Ray Burrows.

Rundowns went to Barry Steinke and Col Dennett with 44 on a countback from Norm Plath and Jack Smith and Kev Savage and Rae McCliskie also on a countback.  Nigel Radin won the men's approach and Helen Ricciardi the women's.

Coralie Volgyesi was the leading Chook Run winner with 29 nett, from Joy Cartner, Mick Ryan and Ray Burrows (31), and Barry Steinke on 33 winnning the spin for the last chicken.

Next Tuesday is the single stableford favourite.  See you there for the 12 noon hit off.
