Juniors

It was another big weekend of Junior golf with the final round of the Club Championships being played.  The closest event was the 13 hole competition with Curtis Fredriksen and Zane Fitzgerald all square on 232 shots each after 3 rounds.  This meant they went into a sudden death playoff that lasted two holes with Curtis finally prevailing.  Well done to both boys!  What an exciting way to finish a competition.

In the nine hole event Wesley Hinton finished off a good three weeks with a score of 180.  Runner up was Cooper Burns on 194.

The girls event went to Amara Burns by a comfortable margin.  In the six hole event Xavier Freeman was the winner from Cooper Rehbein, both boys playing very well over the three weeks.

On Sunday several players travelled to Gladstone to play in the Gladstone Junior Open, with many doing very well.  Will Martell won the B Grade Open Competition and in the process qualified for the Greg Norman Masters.  In the nine hole boys event Cooper Burns played an exciting two hole play off to win the event! This is just reward for Cooper who has his new clubs working very well.  In the nine hole event Amara Burns took out the runner up nett prize.  Next week gets back to normal with Chip and Putt with all play starting at 7:30am.  See you all there!
