Women

The welcome rain on Thursday and Friday had one negative impact, washing out the women's Thursday competition.  This Thursday we will play for the May Monthly Goblet.

On Saturday Sophie Martell continued her steady form to win the May Monthly Goblet with 72 nett, from Fiona Dowling on 75 who claimed the runner up position on a countback from Joy Cartner who won the first rundown in a countback from Joan Wright.

Helen Ricciardi and Rae McCliskie won the remaining rundowns.  Joan KIelly won the ladies' approach .33m from the pin on 6 & 15.

Joy Cartner won the B Grade gross and an approach at the recent Gin Gin Ladies' Carnival.  Well done Joy!

Next Saturday we will be playing a single stableford competition.

Men

After the welcome rain during the week, good numbers arrived on a pleasant cool afternooon to compete for the May Monthly Medals. Scoring was made a little difficult in the heavy conditions.

In A Division Dave Robinson with 71 nett won on a countback from Michael Stanton who was runner up on a countback from John Hinton, with a further rundown to visitor Geoff Loveday on 72.

Curtis Fredriksen recorded the only under par score for the day winning B Division with 69 nett from visitor Mick Martens on 72.  Rundowns went to Bob Champney and Adrian Martin both on 74 nett.

Geoff Loveday also won the A Division pinshot on 1 & 10 and Larry Pershouse the B Division approach, with Damien Dowling claiming the A Divisioon pinshot on 4 & 13.

Next Saturday members return to play a single stableford after recent single stroke competitions.
