Golf Notes 06 December 2016

Following the well attended AGM, most members stayed and were joined by others, making the largest field for some time - perhaps it was the attraction of the Tiger Stableford!

Women

On last Thursday the ladies enjoyed a fun round for their final day, with no scores recorded.  On Saturday, the ladies joined in the Tiger Stableford competition with the scores recorded above.

As stated in the Men’s notes above, this Saturday is the final day of the official season and members will play in a club-sponsored single stableford competition, before the unofficial BBB series begin.

Saturday's notes included below:

Men

Following the well-attended AGM most members stayed and were joined by others, making for the largest field in some time – perhaps it was the attraction of the Tiger Stableford competition!

Two juniors, Will Martell and Wesley Hinton, triumphed with a great score of 70 points to win from Vicki McAulay and Val Plath on 68. In third place were Ken Backhaus and visitor Graham Tonkin on 62 points. Rundowns went to Nigel Radin and Mark McAulay, Lisa Cooney and Fiona Dowling, Cynthia Draper and Cecily Fay.

Ken Backhaus (in the hole) won the B Division approach on 1&10; Nigel Radin (1.86cm) won the A Division pinshot on 4&13 and Jeff Freeman (11.8m) the B Division pinshot. Cynthia Draper (0.23m) won the Ladies’ approach on 6&15.

This Saturday is the final official golfing day of the season, with the club sponsoring a single stableford competition and the after-game early supper.  See you there, before the BBB competitions begin.
