Golf Notes 06 October 2015

On Thursday members competed for the October Monthly Goblet with Coralie Volgyesi winning with 71 nett from Rose Cochrane on 73. Rundowns went to Kerry Schnack on 74 and Lisa Cooney on 75, with Joan Wright taking the approach shot.

Women

On Thursday members competed for the October Monthly Goblet with Coralie Volgyesi winning with 71 nett from Rose Cochrane on 73.  Rundowns went to Kerry Schnack on 74 and Lisa Cooney on 75, with Joan Wright taking the approach shot.

On Saturday members played for the October Monthly Goblet, with Joan Wright recording 75 nett to win on a countback from Cynthia Draper, with a rundown going to Helen Ricciardi.  Robyn Robinsonwon the approach on 6 & 15.

Next Saturday we play a club sponsored single stableford.

Men

Four players recorded 70 nett in the A Division October Monthly Medal, with Blake Dowling winning on a countback from his dad Clinton, second from Russell Albion, who was third from Damien Dowling with the latter receiving rundowns.

Len Stallard scored 67 nett to win B Division from Ken Albion on 69, with Christian Fredriksen on 72, and Roger Draper on 73 receiving rundowns.

Dave Robinson won the A Division pinshot on 1 & 10, Curtis Fredriksen the B Division approach.  Clinton Dowling won the A Division pinshot on 4 & 13 and Bill Herring the B Division approach.

Next Saturday the club sponsors a single stableford.

Vets

Warmer weather welcomed members to the single stableford competition this week. In A Division Terry Smallman with 35 points won from Col Dennett on 34, with Dave Robinson winning the best nine holes on 20 points.

In B Division Len Stallard made it three in a row winning with 39 points from Ken Albion on 37, with Monica Madsen winning the best nine holes on 21 points, on a countback from Adrian Martin.

Nigel Radin (in the hole) won the men's approach on 1 & 10, Michael Stanton the combined approach on 4 & 13 and Cynthia Draper the ladies approach on 6 & 15, also putting it in the hole.

Robyn Robinson and Len Stallard with 32 nett led the Chook Run winners, followed by Ken Albion and Roger Draper both on 33, Kieth Rule and Kev Denham had 34 and won on spins.
