Women

In the stroke competition on Thursday Marg Dennett won the monthly goblet with 72 nett from Vicki Wyeth on 75.  This week we play a single stableford competition.

Cynthia Draper scored a fine 68 nett to win the Saturday Monthly Goblet with Vicki McAulay runner up on 70 nett.  A rundown went to Fiona Dowling on 75 who also claimed the ladies' approach on 1 & 10, putting her second shot in the hole for a welcome birdie.

Thanks to those ladies who brought a plate for the tasty after game snack.

This Saturday we play an American Foursomes competition, the day being sponsored by Paul & Tracey Bartlett's Childers Home Hardware, our very valued sponsors over the year!  Choose a partner of either gender for the day.

Men

October's Monthly Medal players enjoyed a warm afternoon's golf with many scores below or near par.

In A Division Ray Walker & Kev Savage both recorded 68 nett with Ray winning the medal on a countback.  Hard luck Captain Kev.  Rundowns went to Mick Hickey on 69, Damien Dowling on 71 and Dave Robinson on 72.

Peter Hutton left everyone far behind in B Division when he scored 65 nett, with Len Stallard runner up on 71, on a countback from Adrian Martin, Ivan Philpott and Jeff Freeman all on 71.

Pinshots went to Kev Savage in A Division on 4 & 13 and Adrian Martin in B Division, while Clinton Dowling won the A Division pinshot on 1 & 10 with Roger Draper picking up the B Division approach.

Thanks to those who provided the after game snack - perhaps a few more people could remember to contribute next month.

This Saturday Paul & Tracey Bartlett's Childers Home Hardware sponsor the day, with their choice of competition being an American Foursomes, so find a partner of either gender.  Please thank Paul & Tracey also for their sponsorship of all our Championship Events during the year by being there for hit off at 12:30pm.

Time is running out to complete both Seb's and pairs' matchplay competitions.  Remaining qualifiers please check the notice board and arrange the next match with your opponent.

Vets

A smaller field than usual competed in the single stableford held on Tuesday.  Helen Ricciardi scored an exhilarating 42 points to be the overall winner for the day, leaving Phil Luckett on 41 to win A division from Barry Steinke on 38 points.  Cynthia Draper won the best nine holes with 21 points, keeping up the high standards set in the Division.

B Division players were not so impressive although Terry Smallman scored a solid 36 points, one ahead of runner up Adrian Martin, with Len Stallard claiming the best nine hole score with 19 points.

Terry was also nearest the pin with his approach shot, while Cynthia kept up her consistent record by winning the approach for the women.

Cynthia led the Chook Run winners with 31 nett, joined by Phil Luckett and Helen Ricciardi also on 31, followed by Vicki Wyeth on 33 and Adrian Martin with 34.

The single stableford remains the competition for another week.  See you there for hit off at 12 noon.
