Vets

The 4BBB competition with a secret partner saw a number of unfamiliar combinations, with few very successful.  Col Dennett and Bob Werne proved most successful with their combined stableford score, a remarkable 80 points! Worthy winners indeed!  Runners up were Dave Robinson & Rusty Usmar with 71, while 2nd runners up were Ted Buckland & Scott White scored 69 to take that spot on a countback from Robyn Robinson & Michael Stanton.

Approach shot winner for the men was Norm Plath, just 14 cms from the hole and for the women Robyn Robinson took that one out easily putting her 2nd shot in the hole! Paul McCarragher took out the combined approach by also putting his 2nd shot in the hole.

Robyn led the Chook Run winners with 28 nett, from Jack Smith, Col Dennet on 30, Larry Pershouse, Garry Carlon on 33, and Ray Burrowes and Rae McCliskie both on 34.

Next week is the VIP Stroke Event, this month sponsored by Ron Denny. All members can look forward to generous prizes and a tasy after game spread.

See you there for the 12 noon hit off!

In the 13 hole event, Cooper Burns won by 4 shots (after handicap) from his sister Amara.  Next week both Cooper and Amara wil be on the same handicap, so sibling rivalry will be peeking.
