Vets

A large field contested the single par competition, as usual many finding the going very difficult.  No one bettered par, the best score was square with par after 18 holes, with Ray Walker the overall winner from Mark McAulay on a countback.

Mark became the A Division winner with Col Dennett 1st runner up on minus 2, from Adrian Martin 2nd runner up on a countback.  Margaret Dennett won the best nine holes with plus 1.

Bob Champney with minus 2 won B Division on a countback from 1st runner up Rae McCliskie, with Ken Albion 2nd runner up on minus 3.  Peter Hutton won the best nine holes by squaring par.

Norm Plath won the men's approach, his ball ending up on the edge of the hole, while Joan Wright was not quite that close to win the women's approach.

Chook run winners were: Margaret Dennett & Kieth Rule (33), Adrian Martin, Larry Pershouse, Barry Steinke, Ray Burrows and Rae McCliskie (34) and Mick Hickey (35) on a spin.

Next week we return to our fairly new popular single stroke VIP Competition, sponsored this month by Mark & Vicki McAulay.  Be there for the 12:00 noon hit off!
