Women

The Thursday ladies enjoyed a rain free single stableford, with Lisa Cooney on 37 points winning from Vicki Wyeth. Joy Cartner received a rundown with 36 points.  Kerry Schnack won the approach.

Next Thursday's competition is to be arranged.

Men

The heavy rain welcomed by the course not only affected the cane harvesting but also brought an abrupt end to the Saturday afternoon competition. With many players recording the beginning of a record score, it was a sad end to the day’s golf.

However, all is not lost.  At the insistence of the Treasurer, all members who had paid their competition fee for the day will enjoy a free game if they play this Saturday.

An extra incentive this Saturday is that Craig Swift is our sponsor for the single stableford competition.  See you there for the 12:30 hit-off

Vets

Another large group of members teed off for the single stableford competition on a warm Tuesday afternoon.
In A Division Nigel Radin recorded 38 points to win from Cynthia Draper on 35 and Colin Dennett on 34.

In B Division Darryl Johnstone won with 38 points from Roger Draper on 34 and Jennifer McKay on 33.

Bill Herring (0.06m) won the Men’s approach on 1&10; Craig Reynolds (in the hole) and Darryl Johnstone (0.12m) the Combined approach on 4&13; and Jennifer McKay (0.15m) the Ladies’ approach on 6&15.

Cynthia Draper, Darryl Johnstone, Mark McAulay and Jennifer McKay (all nett 30) led the Chook Run winners from Nigel Radin (31) claiming the last chicken on a spin.

Next week members play the 5th round of stroke for the Jan Mungomery Salver on a V.I.P. Day sponsored by the McKay’s. See you there!
