On Saturday we joined the men to play an American Foursomes; the day being sponsored by Childers Home Hardware.  The men's notes record the achievement of the successful female players.  Congratulations to Cynthia and to others who collected a prize: Robyn, Val, Joan & Fiona.

Thanks again to Paul & Tracey, our very generous sponsors over the year.

This Saturday we again need to choose a partner for the fourball best ball stableford, the competition chosen by our sponsors for the day - The Isis Vets.  Choose a partner of either gender and be there for a hit off at 12:30pm.

Men

Childers Home Hardware sponsored the day, with their choice of competition being an American Foursomes.

All players eventually found a partner and enjoyed this different form of competition which was challenging but fun.  None finding it more so than Cynthia Draper and Peter Hutton who scored an incredible 55.5 nett.  Roger Draper teamed with Ivan Philpott to record a find score of 60.5 and be the runners up.

Six rundowns meant that most of the pairs collected from the variety of prizes on offer.  The Robinsons won the approach on 1 & 10, Cynthia & Peter on 6 & 15 and Will Martell and Michael Stanton on 4 & 13.

Players also enjoyed the tasty snacks awaiting them after the game.  Special thanks to our sponsors, Paul & Tracey Bartlett for their generosity on the day and throughout the year.

This Saturday, The Vets sponsor the day, with the competition being a fourball best ball stableford.  As usual a great afternoon awaits us. Hit off at 12:30 pm.

Another reminder that time is running out to complete both Seb's and Pair's matchplay competitions.  Remaining qualifiers please check the notice board and arrange the next match with your opponent.

Vets

The heavy showers before play meant slightly slower fairways and greens but this did not prevent some players putting in fine performances.

Kev Savage had another fine round, recording 39 points in the stableford competition.  Nigel Radin then became the A Division winner with 36 points on a countback from Phil Luckett.  Niel Rieck won the best nine holes with 19 points.

In B Division Len Stallard led with 37 points from Ed Connell on 34.  Rusy Usmar's 19 points winning him the best nine holes.  Approaches were won by Cynthia Draper for the ladies and Terry Smallman for the men.

Phil and Len led the Chook Run winners with 33 nett, joined by Norm Plath, Nigel Radin, Michael Stanton and Coralie Volgyesi all on 34 nett. Hard luck for the two unlucky spinners.

Net week our VIP monthly stroke competition is sponsored by Paul & Tracey Bartlett from Childers Home Hardware. Hard to see them matching their efforts over last weekend.  The 6th and final round of competition for the Jan Mungomery Salver will also be played, with hit off at 12 noon!
