The first of the off-season BBB competitions took place on a sultry summer afternoon, with small attendance, but high scoring.

The first of the off-season BBB competitions took place on a sultry summer afternoon, with small attendance, but high scoring.

Chris White recorded a creditable 43 points to win from Ben van DerValk on 40 points, with Roger Draper third on 38 points.  Rundowns went to Mark McAulay on 37 and Peter Hutton on 36.

Mark won the approach on 1 & 10 with 1.85 metres, and Ivan Philpott the pinshot on 4 & 13 with 6.26 metres.

Val Plath recorded a high score of 44 points to win the ladies' division from Merryn Henke on 43.  Rundowns went to Vicki McAulay on 39 and Rae McCliskie on 37.  Vicki also won the approach shot on 6 & 15.

The BBB competitions continue on Saturdays, with hit off at 12:30pm, Tuesday with hit off at 12:00 noon and Public Holidays at 12:30 until Opening Day, which is most likely January 21, 2017.
