Members played a single stableford competition with quite exceptional scores recorded. Coralie Volgyesi led the way with 40 points from Robyn Robinson on 39, Lisa Cooney on 38 and Kerry Schnack on 37.  Robyn put her second shot in the hole to win the approach. This Thursday a number of ladies from Burrum are joining us for a game and we look forward to this return visit with the competition to be determined before hit off.

The women joined the men in the 3 person Ambrose on Saturday and the results are in the mens' notes.  Next Saturday we play a stroke versus par competition; one which will challenge us all.  The week after that, the Monthly Goblet winners will play off for the honour of being this year's champion, following Friday night's presentation and calcutta.  More next week.

Men

A large field competed in the Sponsors Day 3 person Ambrose which was abandoned shortly after the first nine holes had been completed, but sufficient to determine a result.

The Friendlies Pharmacy team of Dave Robinson, Mark McAulay and Ken Albion recorded nett 27.75 to win from the Isis Central Mill team of Ross Nicol, Hoss Eberl and John Jamieson with nett 29.75.

Rundowns went to Craig Reynolds, Bill Herring and Terry Smallman with 30.2, the Concept 54 team of Laslo and Coralie Volgyesi and Joan Wright with 30.25 and the Wagner Construction team of Rod Wagner, Geoff Jarrett and Peter Russo with 30.5.

The early finish ensure the players had plenty of time to enjoy a few drinks and the tender steak sandwiches on offer.

Thanks to all those who nominated and we look forward to another big day in 2016.

Next Saturday the Captain has decided that members will participate in a stroke versus par competition, our first for the year.

A week after that Monthly Medal winners will play off for the honour of being Medal of Medallists winner for 2015, after the presentation night on Friday and Calcutta conducted by talented auctioneer Bill Trevor.
