A sincere thank you to Bill & Jan for their generous prizes and the tasty after game snack.

Vets

This Tuesday the cool winter afternoon saw over 40 players enjoy a single stableford competition with some very respectable scores being recorded.  None better than Mark Dennett's 41 points making her the overall winner for the day.

In A Division Nigel Radin had to survive a countback on 35 points to hold off Col Dennett and second runner up Norm Plath, with Larry Pershouse scoring 20 points to win the best nine holes.

The B Division scores were much better with Len Stallard on 39 points winning from Bob Champney whose 38 points left him as runner up on a countback from Mick Ryan.  Visitor Mary Jacobs won the best nine holes on 21 points.

The approaches for the men were won by Col Dennett on 1 & 10, just 15cm from the hole, and Nigel Radin on 4 & 13, in the hole on his second shot.  For the women, visitor Rachel Cashin won both approaches on 1 & 10 and 4 & 13.

Chook Run winners were led by Marg Dennett unbeatable on 27 nett, followed by Col Dennett and Len Stallard on 31, Joy Cartner on 32, and on a spin Bob Champney, Mick Ryan and Joan Wright took the remaining chickens.   Sadly no chicken for Monica.

This coming Tuesday we play a stroke competition as the 3rd round of the Jan Mungomery Salver.  See you there fora  12 noon hit off.
