Men

A splendid winter's afternoon suited Dave Robinson especially well, scoring 42 points to win the single stableford completition way ahead of the other players. Ken Albion on 35 claimed runner up on a countback from Larry Pershouse who claimed the first rundown on a countback from Brendan Rockett.  Phil Luckett won the best nine holes with 20 points.

Dave Robinson also won the A Division pinshot on 1 & 10 and again on 4 & 13. A personally very satisfying afternoon for Dave! Ivan Philpott claimed the B Division approach on 1 & 10.

This Saturday is Blake Dowling day when members have an opportunity to support Blake, particularly for his trip to Melbourne to compete in the Aaron Baddeley Invitation event.  Woodgate Hotel/Motel has offered a tempting raffle prize to attract more support from players.

For this scheduled combined Isis/Social Club day, we have programmed a two person Ambrose event (bring a partner) followed by a barbeque supper before presentations.  Hit off will be a half hour earlier at 12:00 noon to allow for this slightly longer event.

The Foursomes Championships take place on Sunday with hit off at 11:00am.  Players are asked to bring a plate for an after game snack, before presentation of trophies.

Vets

On Tuesday Maryborough Vets joined us for a return single stableford competition.  While Isis players won amost all evenets, the visitors claimed the overall win.

In A Division, our wily President recorded the score of the day - 40 points to head off Dave Robinson on 37, with visitor L Jessen 2nd runner up on 36.

The B Division winner was Len Stallard with 33 points from Rusty Usmar on 32 from Kev Denham on 32 on a countback.

Joan Kelly scored 36 points to win the Women's division from runner up Vicki McAulay on 35, with Rae McCliskie 2nd runner up on 34.  Vicki McAulay also managed to win both approaches, in the hole on 1 & 10, and .49m from the hole on 4 & 13.

For the men, Kev Savage was nearest the pin with his approach on 4 & 13, while Ray Walker was in the hole with his second shot on 1 & 10.

Obviously a fine day for all players, with a very tasty after game snack - thanks to our ladies!

Next week, July 01 we return to our stable diet of a single stableford competition.

Juniors

A good field of golfers turned out for the last week of Junior golf before the school holiday recess.  It was a Chip and Putt competition with all four divisions being represented.  In the 18 holes division Will Martell took the event out from his sister Sophie with a score of 57!

In the 13 hole division Christian and Curtis Fredriksen tied with a score of 60. In the nine hole division Wesley Hinton had a score of 68 to win, while Cooper Burns took out the least putts.
