This week the Saturday Monthly Goblet winners will play off for the honour of being this year's champion, following Friday's presentation and calcutta.  Check the men's notes for details. Other members will enjoy a single stroke event.

Men

The Par competition did not attract a large field, but a hardy group set forth determined to at least challenge par in the fairly warm conditions.

Ken Albion enjoying a rare winning run managed to record plus 3 to win on a countback from Craig Reynolds.  Bill Herring was next with a score of plus 2, third on a countback from Roger Draper and Len Stallard, with other rundowns to Phil Luckett, Ivan Philpott and Dave Robinson, all on plus 1.

Larry Pershouse won the A Division pinshot on 1 & 10, with Peter Withers claiming the B Division approach.  On 4 & 13, Peter Hutton won the A Division pinshot, with Ken Albion winning the B Division pinshot.

Next Saturday of course is the play off for the Honour of being the Medal of Medallist's winner for 2015.  Congratulations to all those monthly medal winners who qualify for this event. The rest of us will compete in our own version of the play off.

Don't forget presentation night on the evening before, with presentations following supper.  Members please bring a plate. The evening ends with a Calcutta conducted by the talented auctioneer Bill Trevor.  Bring your cash or cheque book!
