Nomination form for Burrum Ladies Carnival on March 09 is on the notice board.

On Saturday members enjoyed the single stableford competition sponsored by Clinton & Fiona Dowling from Isis Tyre Service.  Fiona recorded the best score but being the day's sponsor, accepted no prize.  Rae McCliskie took first prize winning from Val Plath, second on a countback from Cynthia Draper who received a rundown as did Monica Madsen.  Rae also won the approach on 1 & 10, with Val winning the approach on 4 & 13.

Next Saturday, we play for the second Monthly Goblet for the year. See you there!

Men

The single stableford competition sponsored by Isis Tyre Service (Clinton & Fiona Dowling) attracted a strong field with Clinton recording the best score, but being the sponsor for the day accepted no prize.  In the men's Division visitors Kev Domjahn and Gavin Charles both scored 36 points with Kev winning on a countback. Rundowns went to Damien Dowling and Roger Draper both on 35, Michael Stanton, Dave Robinson, Geoff Jarrett, Mark McAulay, Rob Werne and Bob Champney all on 34 points.

Damien claimed the A Division pinshot on 1 & 10, with Travis Mittelheuser winning the approach.  Len Stallard won the pinshot on 4 & 13.

Another great sponsor's day with the prizes and food provided by Clinton & Fiona greatly appreciated.  This Saturday sees the second Monthly Medal for the year waiting to be won by members.  See you there for the 12:30 hit off.

Vets

This week members contested a single stableford competition, with prizes donated by Clinton & Fiona Dowling - Thank you Isis Tyre Service for your generosity.

On a day when many players bettered par, Larry Pershouse won with 42 points from Ed Connell on 41 points, with some close rundowns.  Gary Carlon from Rae McCliskie on 39, Bob Cochrane from Mick Ryan on 38, Kev Savage from Kieth Rule and Bob Champney on 37.

Michael pipped Dave Robinson on 4 & 13 to win the men's approach, while consistent Joy Cartner won the women's approach.

An unheralded, but highly elegant second shot chip in the hole from 50 metres out gave Joan Kelly 5 stableford points - The Captain will surely find a worthy trophy next week!

Chook run winners were led by Mick Ryan on 29 nett, with Joy Cartner, Joan Kelly, Phil Luckett, Ed Connell and Rae McCliskie close behind on 30, with Ray Burrows squeezing in with 31 nett to claim the last chicken.

Next Tuesday is a fourball best ball stableford competition choose.  That is find a partner and hand in a card with both names on it.  Thank you from the Captain.
