Women

The Thursday June Monthly Medal was won by Vicki McAulay with nett 74 from Coralie Volgyesi on 76.  Vicki also claimed the approach shot.

This Thursday members will determine the competition before hit off.

As recorded in the men's notes, the washed out Club Championship and June Monthly Medal events will now be played this Saturday.  Please bring a plate for after the game.

Remember hit off will be at 11:30am.

Men

The much needed and very welcome rain also had the unfortunate resul that the Club Championships and Monthly Medal for June were washed out, so no results from Saturday.

This also means those events will now be played this Saturday.  Sadly some of our leading players will be unavailable for that day.

Again the start time has been set for 11:30am to enable time for presentations at the close of play.

Vets

Vets enjoyed a single stableford on Tuesday.  Niel Rieck left everyone in his wake with a sizzling 39 points to be the A Division winner from Marg Dennett on 33, who was runner up on a coutback with Kieth Rule  who placed third.

B Division was won by Ted Buckland with a steady 36 points from Ben van Der Valk on 35.  Jennifer McKay on 32 was third on a countback with Coralie Volgyesi.

Bill Cowan won the combined approach on 4 & 13, Nigel Radin the men's approach on 1 & 10 and Jennifer McKay took out the ladies approach on 6 & 15.

Niel Rieck and Ted Buckland led the chook run winners, each with 28 nett, from Ed Connell on 29 and Larry Pershouse won on a spin with 34 nett.

Next Tuesday we will see you there for the Par competition.

Isis Junior Carnival

A highly successful Junior Carnival was held on the course on Sunday.  Over 70 players from across the Wide Bay and Capricornia competed with a range of competitions for 18 hole, 13 hole, 9 hole, 6 hole and even the 3 hole players.

The organisers deserve high praise for the well run, highly efficient management of the competition and for the splendid array of food from early morning through to lunch.

Congratulations from the Isis Golf Club Committee.
